Caret symbol not picked up by some keyboard layouts

Tasks using the caret do not seem to work on some non-us keyboard layouts (for me, it's right alt + 3 + space or 3 again).
This happened to me at Go to beginning of text on current line which could also be solved with 0.
There's no option to skip, so that results in getting stuck.
