Disable country code selector dropdown on phone number fields?

Is it possible to disable the country code selector dropdown on phone number fields by default? I understand it's possible to do it per-field in the field config, but I'd rather prevent editors from being able to output it at all.

Not at the moment, happy to add it to the feature list. Will be tied into the larger Field Defaults feature.
