I use Grammarly all the time to write documents, but they don't offer an API to extend it and it's very expensive. How does this tool compares feature wise? |

I would say that they are sufficiently different (both in features and use cases) that you’ll likely be unsatisfied if you’re looking for a drop-in replacement. |

@guzmonne other aspect is privacy and customisability. Grammarly has had an "interesting" history of privacy with content you add there, and Vale (and Vale Server) don't share content anywhere. Also Vale allows for a lot of customisation of rules etc, where Grammarly doesn't. I use both together personally, and actually there is kind of a Grammarly API, and there's an unofficial VSCode extension that works most of the time. |
