No /Library/Displays folder

I was trying to delete the settings made by this app, but I cannot find the /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides folder that it says on the readme to delete. In fact, I cant even find a /Library/Displays folder to begin with.

For context, I am running 12.0.1 Monterey and I installed the app by just downloading the release and adding to applications, as I could not get the install script to run successfully.

Hi, I don't know if you resolved this, but after some investigating I found that the files actually are stored here:

/System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides

(Note: I'm using a silicon Mac)

Hi @supercomputer1 , any idea on how to safeley remove this folder ?

I tried sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides and got Operation not permitted.

Or any way to revert the changes made by this app 😬

@adrvs Hm, I do not recall having any issues with permissions. But I guess it is a question of how your system is setup.
Have you tried giving your terminal app Full Disk Access?

Something like:

(but for your terminal application)

Thx @supercomputer1, but I still have the Operation not permitted error even after enabling Full Disk Access.

Anyway my problem is solved: for some reason my laptop auto rebooted while it was in sleep mode and all the RDM changes were gone. Even if the /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides directory didn't change at all.

I guess there might be compatibilty issues with recent OS ? I'm on Sonoma 14.6.1.
