Option to delete specific day for a specific channel

Today I was looking for a way to delete a specific data for a specific channel to remove bad data since I had trouble overwriting it with good data. The only way I could do this was deleting the tables in the database, which probably is not the best way to do this. Would be good if the Admin tool can do this (sort of like the repair function but delete).
