File names with international UTF characters

The file chooser dialog incorrectly displays file names with international UTF characters (they become garbage), at least on MacOS. A possible cause can be the normalization of file names on MacOS filesystems.

It should work better now on macOS.

But I noticed the window title also doesn't show non-ASCII characters correctly.
