Very long filenames break tab-complete

I have some files in a folder with names that cannot fit into the width of the iamb window. The problem is that if I tab past these files, I find shorter filenames are now unreadable and stuck "off the left edge" of the window.

Suggestion: repeat whatever check is done to determine whether the filename fits within the window at each item.

(A probably easier alternative is to just cut off all filenames according to the window width and not compensate at all for long filenames. This would still be much more functional than the current situation.)
