Request for the following to be changed/added for the:
- UKSF Apache (uksf_air_apache_aac)
- 3CB Wildcat (UK3CB_BAF_Wildcat_AH1_8_Armed)
- RKSL Wildcat (rksla3_aw159_hma2)
My reasoning for the following weapons being that as they are actively in use by the British military, and have been for at least the last 3 years already, with the older weapon systems we are currently using having been near completely phased out of service by this point in 2025.
- The CRV7 rocket having been replaced exclusively with the Hydra 70, and now only employed using the guidance kit, making it into a LGR (Laser Guided Rocket), the British have however retained the warheads used on the CRV7.
The reason for its purchase and use stated by the MoD/AAC:
- To serve as a low-cost effective, yet shorter range, alternative to the Hellfire, JAGM and Brimstone Missiles. (5-6km Vs 8km/60km)
- The capability to carry more guided munitions per mount than would otherwise be possible with those previously mentioned systems.
- Along with their use being driven by a desire to enhance precision targeting while also minimising collateral damage, be that while in proximity to friendlies or civilians.
I believe that from a gameplay standpoint, only the latter two points made would apply here.
- As for the new Hellfire Romeo, it was brought into service to gradually replace the multiple different types of Hellfire, and to supplement the Lima to give the Apache a One-Missile-Fits-All capability, using the Romeo equipped with a Multi-Purpose Main Charge (MC) Warhead, containing the Directional Shaped Charge from the Hellfire Kilo for top attack Anti-Tank, along with an integrated blast fragmentation sleeve for Anti-Personnel use.
To replicate the proposed new missile, I'd imagine the easiest method would be to copy the weapon profile from the Hellfire Kilo, and add the blast radius/damage & fragmentation values from the Hellfire November onto the other missile to create a multi-purpose warhead.
Weapon Systems:
1. Addition of the three CRV7-PG x19 Round rocket pod variants, serving in place of the APKWS-II (AGR-20 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System), all of which can be found on the base version of the 3CB AH-1 Apache, to be added to the UKSF Apache as pylon options.
- HEISAP warhead (High-Explosive Incendiary Semi-Armour-Piercing)
- FAT warhead (Flechette Anti-Tank)
- GPF warhead (General Purpose Flechette)
