how about letting users set custom icons for their bookmark folders. it feels much more intuitive than relying just on text captions, and I'd even consider adding an option to hide the captions altogether for those who prefer that. I'd rely on the system's native emoji font. that'd provide users with a large enough choice and easily translate across all devices.
