Can there be a new upstream release?

Hi, thank you for editline - I am the Fedora package maintainer (I basically use it to build nix for fedora).

1.17.1 was released in 2020. Are there plans to make a new release any time soon? :-)

I feel it could make a useful checkpoint, particularly for distros and gcc15 adoption.

Not planned before today, but I've now put it on my backlog for my various open source projects. As per usual, I cannot give any promises on release dates, since I'm not paid anymore to work on this library. This means I'll likely pick it up a rainy day sometime after the big vacation period here in Sweden.
