Description
I would like to propose releasing CleverKeys on the Google Play Store to complement the existing GitHub and F-Droid releases.
Reasons for this request:
- Wider Audience: Many Android users only discover apps through the official store.
- Reliable Updates: Ensures users always have the latest version (v1.2.8+) and bug fixes automatically.
- Developer Support: Provides a more visible platform for the project and a streamlined way for users to find donation links/support the author.
Notes:
Since CleverKeys is already privacy-focused and works 100% offline, it would be a strong competitor to mainstream keyboards on the Play Store. The "Zero Network Permissions" would be a major selling point for the store listing.
Sidenote:
I have used Unexpected Keyboard as my primary for the last four years. While it is great for development/terminals, typing actual natural language text requires more effort than traditional keyboards.
But from the last year, prompts have increasingly become the primary driver of any workflow. This is why a keyboard like CleverKeys, that balances terminal efficiency with fluid, low-effort natural language typing is now fundamental. I hope to see it on the Play Store so I can fully migrate my workflow.
