Oneplus 8T on Lineage OS and swiping is...intermittent?

I can swipe a word or two as expected, but any follow up words don't respond at all - no swipe trail, no typed words. Sometimes the starting letter will be typed, but usually nothing is. I've played with some of the dwell and distance settings, with no improvement.

I've attached a log, but it seems nothing is printed when the swipe isn't generating words.
