Huds doesnt work on 1.21.10

The huds doesn't work on versions 1.21.9 and above,
it works perfectly fine on 1.21.8, but on 1.21.9, it breaks,

Server version:- Paper 1.21.4 (linux)
Betterhud version:- 1.14.0

No error in client's log, nor in server console, the pack loads on 1.21.10 but it just doesnt show the bossbars/huds

I'm having a very similar problem to what is described. Except the problem I'm having is that text backgrounds aren't working, but everything else for me works fine. It could very much be a misconfiguration, but I observed zero errors in console or client logs, and I ensured that all of the assets that are being used exist and are configured correctly.

Below is my setup for reference:
Server version: Paper 1.21.10 (build 439)
Client version: Minecraft 1.21.10
BetterHud version: 1.14.1-SNAPSHOT-439

^^ Same issue here. I have cross refrenced my configs with the wiki. But everything seems to be in order.
Everything works except the text backgrounds.

This already seems to be an issue for a long time......
