Smart Quotes in README file screw up cut and paste

There is a real problem with the use of smart quotes in your README file - they can transferred if you cut and paste the schema.xml changes into that file. They do not appear to work correctly with those quotes.

Unfortunately all the forks of this repo have the same issue
