Help file issue

First off, THANK YOU - this is an awesome example and has really helped me understand how Yii works.

I have found one small bug that you could address - in the help file, if there are more than 1 elements in the [sec][] element then the first one gets dropped. Just need a little more logic to pull out all of the values in the help function.

On a side note - how can I split the values into individual columns?

Instead of a comma separated list in one column, I'm looking to have 2 columns - one for the primary and one for the secondary.

i'm sorry, i don't understand your first point. could you be more specific about where in the help file the issues are and exactly what they are?

you can't split the comma separated values into columns in use case two (group_concat() method). yii could possibly be extended to do this but it would be a lot of work and make a mess. but in any case, how many columns would you need? you can either put each joined result record on a row on its own or you can group the rows together into one and put the grouped fields with different values into one cell.

If you drop a print_r($items) in your foreach loop in the help file you can see what I'm talking about.

Row 5 has three Genres but only two are being shown

The result of the print_r: Array ( [0] => Rock ) Array ( [0] => Pop [1] => Alternative )
What is shown in the column: Rock, Alternative

You are dropping the "Pop" genre in the output.

As for my issue, I would like to be able to break my list into 3 columns. In your song_genre table, you have an "is_primary" column - I have a "rank" column there. I would like to be able to show column1 => rank 1 data, column2 => rank 2 data, and column3 => rank 3.

I can pull the data out manually right now - but can't sort/search on it.
