Unable to customise the buttons

Hi!
Can you please help me out. How can we customise the buttons with one of our own.
I noticed example: if I remove twitter-share. the popup stop appearing and it open the link in new tab.

What code are you using to create your own button? Post it here or in a gist.

I think for the twitter example he would be using the build your own button functionality defined at this link tweet-button build-your-own.

He could then style an element to look like the button of his choice. In the link above the element is shown, to me, simply as the word Tweet.

I also need to be able to do this. Does Socialite support this?
