This is a partially baked enhancement idea.

Perhaps something like the discoveries screen but summarizes the the dungeon depths by number and notable things discovered.

Goals:

• Simple, useful information
• Eliminate the need to use the "call" feature to record a note (e.g. other items in a vault)

Non-Goals:

• User-created notes
• Detailed information like specific location on a level
• Exhaustive description of a level

Constraints:

• Must not leak information

Examples:
D3 Ring library vault: clairvoyance, +1 regeneration, light, and +3 stealth (taken)
D5 bloodwort plant, pit/chasm

Ideas:

• extend the discoveries screen, make it tabbed, and add keyboard navigation. e.g. [Items] [Dungeon]
• reword the "D" command description on the help screen from "D list discovered items" to "D list discoveries"

Notes:
In the D3 example, the player used an identify scroll on the regen ring and then took the stealth ring and wore it until the enchantment level was revealed. Prior to identification, the stealth ring would simply display as "stealth".
