Fantastic work, Timan! I'm so glad I found your post today on Fokke's blog (http://www.tidev.io/2014/01/28/paused-resumed-events-on-android/)
I had tried using Fokke's technique, but I was disappointed to find that it could not detect the screen being turned on and off as resumed/paused events.
Your code is the first solution I've seen to this problem (I wish the Appcelerator guys would just bake it into the runtime).
I made some changes to get it to work with Ti Classic. I also added automatic naming support. HEre's my fork: https://github.com/jpriebe/AndroidContext
