Hackathon challenge
Prize: 1st $3250, 2nd $1000, 3rd $750 paid in DAI
A common problem is that Discord blockchain project communities tend to be one-way (at first); people jump in and create a post towards the project team and that’s the main interaction.
However only meaningful human interactions build camaraderie and lead to long term collaboration, which is critical for long term protocol success. So we should be looking to encourage and incentivize one-on-one or many-to-many (digital) meet and greets to build a more true form of community. An example could be taken from the Donut bot for Slack.
A challenge quickly presents itself; when such meetings are incentivized how do we prevent easy gaming and abuse of the system?
Submission Requirements
A functional project that applies to the challenge’s description. Demo, proof of concept, written description of project and extending from existing THX repositories (Discord Bot, Slack Bot) will increase your score!

Judging Criteria
The winner will be chosen based on the research done, the applicability to the challenge, how complete/functional the project is at time of submission and finally it’s potential to be built upon for future versions of the THX protocol.
- Extent and thoroughness of the research conducted (10% of total).
- Applicability to the challenge (30% of total)
- Completeness of functionality at submission (40% of total)
- Potential of the submission to build upon for future iterations (20% of total)
The THX core team will publish the scores of each submission on hackathon completion no later than the 9th of September.
Intellectual Property: upon the freelancer's receipt of full payment from THX (Great Ape Management BV), any tangible or intangible results or deliverables that a freelancer agrees to create for, or actually delivers to, THX (Great Ape Management BV) including, without limitation all Intellectual Property Rights, will be the sole and exclusive property of THX (Great Ape Management BV).
