'full height images' should display actual full height #2048

Is Your Feature Request Related to a Problem?

Currently in post appearance settings, there's a toggle for 'full height' images, which only works for images below a certain size. Above that, it shows the middle of the image instead. This presents a couple of problems. Firstly, it's not always obvious that an image has been cropped. Secondly, some images, especially comics and such, get spoiled if you see the middle of it first.

Feature Description

The 'full height image' toggle should display entire images. In the case of excessively large images, it should display a thumbnail of the entire image instead of cropping.

The current 'crop and display the middle of the image' could probably remain as a different display option.
