Local environment

Dear dev,
I was trying to replicate your work locally. So far the docker-compose works flawlessly but then when I try to access the app via http://localhost:3000 or http://localhost:3000/iris I get a 404.

I'm no expert in node but it seems something related to url.

Any hints on how to face this would be welcome.

Sorry, I missed the mail notification. I managed to launch the environment, it is still not clear to me the login as tutor and student if that is possible. Is there a manual or a paper I can read more about the intended usage?

It's a cool project but unfortunately I'm not the developer of this and had very little feedback about trying to run this. There are at least half dozen of variants of this where a lot of UI have changed, and a lot of improvement have been done. But I prefer this original one... So it's nearly impossible to patch together the original UI with the scattered improved patches.

As I stated in #104, I have the same problem.
Reading about how ports are used in Windows + WSL, it seem that perhaps you can also try:
0.0.0.0 and 127.0.0.1.

I would love to get this up and running without the WSL annoyance and the original UI. I had many improvements in mind, but not much response from @thkruz, who say he doesn't have time...

Apologizes on being non-responsive. The server aspect is deprecated.

As I mentioned in another issue, this was not previously maintained. A few of us created it during a Space Force capstone project and I made it work as a github.io page and released it for public tinkering. The instructor page/server integration is legacy code from when this was running on heroku. For the purpose of that class we wanted to prove we could sync all of the UI's and "share" equipment.

Now that version 11 of https://github.com/thkruz/keeptrack.space is live, I have a lot more free time and am modernizing the project. The dev branch has a completely new "client" folder and front end. I am greatly expanding the level of detail (polarization selection, waterfall plots, realistic a-spec controls). It is currently 100% local using localstorage as a syncing mechanism. If you have two windows open and make changes in one, it will automatically update the other. This is means that your setup persists after reload and opens the door for Cloudflare D1 or Websocket syncing.

If you are still interested in the project you can try it there or wait until I am finished and can publish it to the main branch. Based on the rate of work I think I can have a version 1 ready by next weekend. Again sorry for the lack of responses in the past, I WILL be maintaining this going forward.
