Event number changes on each reboot

Hello,

Trying to incercept input from the Tartarus keypad like so:

sudo actkbd -d /dev/input/event17 -D

It works, except that the event number changes on each startup.
Is it possible to use the device name or some fixed element to start actkbd with?

you can use /dev/input/by-id/device-name which uses your devices name, stopping it from changing every time
