Description
There are a ton of combinations, and this may extend to Collections settings but that is just a guess. My testing has been limited to resolution and rotation settings as I do not have a use for those and was disabling them. A fresh run may not be necessary, but the problem may not be easy to see if the folders are already populated.
Problem: On a fresh run with no existing arcade organizer folder or symlinks, If you disable subfolders in the Video & Inputs -> Resolution or Rotation settings, such that either of them cannot find a single file to make a symlink for, the rest of the settings for Alphabetic, Collections, and Video & Inputs are ignored, and none of those folders are created or populated with symlinks.
There are multiple ways to reproduce this, the steps below are to show that even with some options enabled, if it doesn't find at least 1 file it breaks. I do not get any symlinks for 24 kHz Scan Rate when things are working properly but if you do, disable the 24 kHz option as well. This can also be achieved by disabling all the subfolders in Rotation, indicating this is not limited to Resolution.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Have no existing arcade organizer folder (can run Advanced Submenu -> Clean Folders from update_all)
- Enable Region, Alphabetic, Collections and all subfolders.
- Enable Rotation and Rotation subfolders.
- Enable Resolution Folders, and only enable 24 kHz Scan Rate, leaving 15 kHz and 31 kHz disabled.
- Save and run.
- The Organized folder will only contain the Regions Folder that is properly populated. Alphabetic, Collections, and Video & Inputs will be missing and not created, despite being enabled.
