v.3.1.0 is not compatible with Django 4.2.xx

Thanks for your library. We appreciate the work very much.

Integrating it in our open source software, we found the following problem:

Due to the newly introduced handling of choices in the ChoiceField, the version 3.1.0 is not compatible with Django 4.2.x.

This may be by design. A short notice would be nice.

The breaking change I'm referring to is the following:
