Cli tool, for retrieving subscription token.

I saw this and thought of a way to maybe get it working in headless mode and I found a way but only for chromium based browser (or currently only chrome and edge other might have some trouble).

The tool is called paddock.
It can be run in headless mode or not. It take 6s-7s in healess mode and without it about 1s-2s plus.
For the logout it sits around 2s-3s.
Theoretically could it be integrated in some way since the output is json and will print it to the stdout but you can also run it as standalone.

Maybe someone will give it a shot and might like it the installation stuff is on the github page.

I might add an option to pass a token to FastF1. Users could then script a login like this if they want to. Integrating this directly with FastF1 is a fairly niche use case and a lot of overhead for testing, maintenance and so on.

Sounds good. I try to keep the tool up to date and will add a github action in the future but I was focused on some other things. I get that my tool on my own without some manual login could be catastrophic or just to much work.

So I can finally say that I have implemented a action that will test if the tool can find all the necessary selectors/ paths to get to the submit button of the login form and that it can be clicked . An actual login/ logout github action will be followed by today or tomorrow. I had to add a feature that now allows to use a proxy because the us version of the website is different from the eu or I think the rest of the world honestly. Now I added a way that should handle the content of both websites. Using a proxy is only recommended if it is like <2.000km otherwise the website loading the cookie banner could take to long and the app will timeout.
