I see that I don't parse the patch files for the G1Four correctly. Mostly because I assume there is a NAME and a PRM2 chunk, whereas a patch file for G1Four doesn't necessarily have a NAME chunk, and has a PPRM chunk instead of PRM2.

I need to work on the patch parser a bit to make it more robust.

I'll "practice" with some G1Four ptcf files I downloaded from the internet.

I also see that I don't get a reply from the G1Four if I ask for a range of screens, like F0 52 00 6E 64 02 00 0C 00 F7, but I do get a reply if I don't specify the screen range, with F0 52 00 6E 64 02 F7. I need to look into that as well.

I see similar issues for the g3n.

So there's some stuff that needs fixing on my side :-).

I don't know if i should use this case issue or open another one.

I have tested a bit with G2x Four and had some success editing patches and some glitches too.

How can I help you add support for this model? I'm up to at least either with code or collecting information about the device.
This model doesn't have a PC/MAC application just a mobile app and I really wish we all had something better than that.

@jfexart, just got all URLs used by the HGL App on Android, with and without my G2X FOUR connected. Seems very similar to what is referenced in mungewell/zoom-zt2#94 there's a lot of URLs for icons for the effects.

The HGL_AllZDL_202206.lst also includes references for the B2 Four, I'm not sure whether I should be offended that Zoom couldn't reference the correct picture.

@hebertluiz Could you try opening https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ with your G2x Four, try to edit a patch until it glitches/fails, open the development console in Chrome (F12), open the Console, right-click and select "Save as" and post the log here (or email it to h@mmer.no)?
I'll have a look and see if I can figure out what went wrong.

@hebertluiz thanks a lot for emailing me the log :-). It looks like there's not too much missing before ZoomExplorer and sym.bios.is could support the G2/G2X FOUR pedals.
The next step is to get the effect mappings for the G2X FOUR pedal. I think everything is ready for you to do the mapping. Visit https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ and click the "Map all effects" button and follow the instructions. The mapping normally takes several minutes, in some cases up to an hour.
If the mapping succeeds, please email me the mapping file. If it fails, please email me the log as described above, and I'll try my best to fix any bugs.

@hebertluiz I have added the mapping file you sent me to ZoomExplorer, so in theory the editor at https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ should work for the Zoom G2/G2x Four now.
I'm very interested in hearing if it works for you :-).
I still haven't reversed the order of the effects in the editor, so that's the next step.
