MS-90LP+ are 52 6E 00 2B 00
and
MS-200D+ are 52 6E 00 25 00

On a first glance, the 200D+ seems to be working fine with your tool. The 90LP+ does seem to be confused (Which is not surprising)

I have added the Device IDs for the two pedals to ZoomExplorer at https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ now, so the device name should be correct in the device list.

The 90LP+ is so different from the other plus pedals that ZoomExplorer doesn't know what to do with it. I'm not sure a web based editor would be possible at all. As far as I can see, Zoom does not have a Guitar Lab app for the 90LP+.

The 200D+ editor should be supported in limited view-only mode in ZoomExplorer now.

I'd very much like to add full editor support for the 200D+. If you'd like to help out, It'd be great if you could go to https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/, click "Map all effects", follow the instructions, and send me the file that is produced with all the effect mappings.

Ok, I tried it on my other pedal, here it opens a file save window. So I think there is something in Waveformer that does not open the file save dialog.

I've now updated https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ to make the effect mapping more robust. It'd be great if you could try once more.

The "Map all effects" button will show the progress of the mapping, with the name and number of the current effect and total number of effects to map. You can also watch the screen on the pedal to see which effect and parameter is being currently mapped. When the mapping is done (could take up to half an hour), you'll get a pop-up telling you to click the "Save mappings" button, and you can chose the filename and folder. Email the resulting file to h@mmer.no.

I have tested it in Chrome on Windows and Mac, and was able to complete a new mapping for one of my pedals (MS-70CDR+), so hopefully it'll work for the MS-200D+ now.

If it still doesn't succeed, it'd be great if you could open up the Dev Tools Console in Chrome (Hit Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows, or Command + Option + J on MacOS), save the console log to file (right-click and select Save) and email the log to h@mmer.no.

I noticed that you haven't updated your MS-200D+ pedal with the additional effects available in the GuitarLab iOS app.

These are:

• Exciter

If you load these effects onto your pedal at some point, it'd be nice if you could do another mapping, so we get the parameters for these effects mapped as well.

I think you have to select these effects in the Guitar Lab app on your iPhone and upload them to the pedal from the app.

Something looks wrong. On many effects it shows CMN 0. I did not completely check it, but at first look it appears when the patch name == the effect name, then the effect name is show as CMN 0. Do you have some parsing logic that does this?

First: Thanks a lot for testing! I wouldn't have been able to add support for the MS-200D+ without you :-).

Second: That's weird.

For 150 of the effects, the effect name embedded in the ZD2 files is "CMN 0". And for 6 of the effects, the effect name embedded in the ZD2 files is CMN DRV (with N from 0 to 5), even though the effect is probably the same "PLUS DISTORTION" effect.

I have added a mapping list from the effect ID to the full effect name, as listed in Zoom's official effect list for the MS-200D+, so the editor can use the full names instead of the short incorrect names from the ZD2 files.

I have now updated the patch editor at https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/ with the full effect names.

Please let me know if everything works correctly.

The editor in ZoomExplorer and at https://sym.bios.is now supports adding and selecting effects in a patch. This should work for the MS-200D+ as well, but I haven't tested it.

We're curious to figure out if the parallel effect routing feature on the MS-200D+ could also work on other pedals in the MS Plus range.

If anyone with a MS-200D+ have time to help out, getting a copy of the same patch with and without the parallel routing enabled would help us pinpoint where in the patch file that info resides. Patches can be saved to file in https://sym.bios.is.

We'd also like to know if any MIDI messages are sent from the pedal when the routing is changed to parallel. One way of seeing the MIDI messages is to visit https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/, then adjust the "effect routing" setting in the menu on the MS-200D+ pedal, and look in the upper right corner of ZoomExplorer to see if a MIDI message is transmitted for that. Details of the message can be found at the bottom of the same webpage.
