How do I get the randomizer? Every time I download it and drag it to my emulator, there is only a black screen.

This could be caused by using a "headered" Super Metroid rom for randomizing. A header is an extra bit of data at the beginning of a file. You can look at the file size of your rom to determine if it's headered or not. 3072KB is an unheadered rom, while 3073KB is headered.

You can download a program called LunarIPS to remove the header from your Super Metroid rom.

I still haven't figured out how to get the item randomly. I need some step by step instructions.
