Active Effect Damage Bonuses Don't Retain Damage Type #53

I'm making a spell that gives the next melee attack a damage bonus using an active effect, like so:

However, while the amount of damage is calculated fine, it loses the damage type. So I expect the following club strike to do 1d4 bludgeoning damage and 1d8 fire damage, but:

Do these not count as bonus dice to WIRE?
