CD54 UI issues

Since I have the bluebus in my E46 I have had a little issue with the UI of the Bluebus.
I have the pretty rare Becker CD54 unit.

Between each button click, the ui goes back to the OEM CD changer UI. This is very annoying when trying to change settings for example, or even trying to change tracks.
Basically the first click shows the UI of the OEM CD changer and the second actually does the action, while still staying on the CD changer ui for a few secs.
Do you have a CD54 at disposal ? Can I help diagnose in any way ?

A second little issue is in Party mode, if the first character of the line is an empty space it gets replaced by a P with a reverse ^.

I am familiar with the CD54 but I do not have one available for testing.

As far as your party mode issue, that would be caused by this line: https://github.com/tedsalmon/BlueBus/blob/master/firmware/application/ui/cd53.c#L730

In literally every other radio, this character is displayed as a space, so the CD54 must implement some weird extended ASCII character set that I am unfamiliar with.

The CD43 does the same, and there isn't anything I can do about it, sadly. Have you tried hitting the R/T button on the steering wheel to see if this improves?
