Can't load DLL

Somehow I broke my installation and when I try to reinstall it, I get following error:

MySQL however is installed (version 8.0.11)
Does this ring a bell?

Not an OS X expert, but it looks like you don't have libmysqlclient installed. Note that there are multiple "mysql" packages out there, depending on whether you need the client, the server, and/or the dev libraries for either.

It worked before, so that's what's confusing me. Maybe because I upgraded from MySQL 7 to 8?

Btw: You should provide flags to disable / enable the different backends during the build.
That's what I did to fix it for me: I just commented out all MySQL related code.
What's the correct way to provide build flags in Haskell?

That's actually on the backburner - build flags to toggle features. There are other things I want toggle-able too, like the subprocess backend which, in a shared-hosting kind of environment, would be a security issue (running untrusted sites would allow site authors to run arbitrary code on the server). I should probably write that down in an issue.
