gt() and lt() are pointless

These functions provide no value over the intrinsic operators.

Thinking about this further, these aren't entirely pointless. Consider a case

x = 1.0
y = f(x) -> 1.000000001

Perhaps that last digit is a result of a floating point operation. If we ask: is y > x? With the intrinsic operators the answer is yes. If we consider possible floating point error, then the answer is for some tolerances (1e-8 or greater) the answer is no, y == x.

Not pointless, but probably not terribly useful either. gt() and lt() are used internally by ge() and le(). I'll leave them public for now and consider revisiting this issue in the future (removing them, or making them private).
