Upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.5.5 Breaks `react-compare-image`

After doing a minor upgrade to the latest version (3.5.5), the pages that used react-compare-image were throwing the below errors and unable to render images successfully. This unfortunately brought down the page.

Has anyone else been able to recreate this?
