Bug: Sometimes locks editing in WebStorm 2020.3.1

With WebStorm 2020.3.1 I regularly run into a situation where I can't edit the file anymore, it's as if it is in read-only mode.

When I disable the isearch plugin, this problem does not occur, so I assume it is a bug of this plugin. But I could not figure out yet, when exactly it happens, what keys I press 😭 I think it might be that when I search and then click with the mouse while isearch is still active, but I could not reproduce this consistently …

Do you think there is a way to see this problem in the log files somehow? I'd be happy to try some things …

Now that I have disabled the plugin, I miss it dearly, it's a great addition to my workflow, so thanks for having created it!

I was able to reproduce this bug in WS 2020.3.2:

1. Start searching with isearch
2. Click the mouse one line above the current isearch result
3. Start writing into the editor

This leads to:

1. isearch is no longer active in the toolbar and can't be exited
2. Nothing can be written into the editor anymore
3. The file has to be closed an reopened to continue working
