+# Monetization Policy

+## Macrocosm's Stance on Monetization
+
+Macrocosm as an upstream will neither be monetized nor permit any form of direct monetization ever.
+
+Forms of monetization may include (but are not limited to):
+- Patreons/Crowdfunding
+- Code bounties
+- Salaries for maintainers
+- Any form of merchandizing
+- Bribery/lobbying
+
+Microcosms are free to pursue their own forms of monetization within their own servers, as long as it does not directly impact Macrocosm as a whole.

+## Policy on Code Bounties and Commissioned Content
+
+Discussion of code bounties is confined to each microcosm’s own servers. While resulting work may be upstreamed per committee, bounties must not be proposed or justified for content that is primarily intended for the macrocosm.
