InputScope not collecting mouse statistics on windows

hi, i installeed inputscope using the pip command, the keyboard usage is collected and is displayed in the webUI without any problems but there is no mouse statistics, i did not change any default configurations.

Looks like there is an issue on newer Python versions with the pynput library InputScope uses to monitor inputs.

As an immediate workaround, you can install an older version of this library which should work:

pip install pynput==1.7.8

I will issue a fixed version of the program at some point.

Out of curiosity, what are your OS and Python versions?

thank you so much, installing pynput version to 1.7.8 fixed the problem and now the mouse usage statistics is displayed and it is working well, it was previously version 1.7.6
it's looking magnificent
also my python is version 1.13.1 and im on window 11 version 23H2

i also wanted to ask about two things

1. i don't know if it's just on my system or not but the web ui's css is not loaded in chrome and edge and vivaldi but it works great in firefox,
2. this is not really important but is there any way that for example second language also be shown in the keyboard statistics

1. It is not just you. this is a problem that has arisen with newer Chromium-based browsers, looks to be some issue with localhost or non-HTTPS. I will need to solve this as well.

2. What exactly do you mean by second language here?

i mean having two languages like english and another language for your keyboard for users that english is not their primary language,
also can it be made so that the webui isn't always running?

Sorry, adding support for different language keyboard layouts is something I have no strength for at the moment.

You can run just the recording part as

python -m inputscope.listener

or if it was pip-installed:

inputscope-listener
