Your purpose in using this API:
We are integrating the full Kutub al-Sittah (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah) into app's backend. The API will be used to:
- Populate a normalized hadith database with Arabic + English text
API rate limits:
During the initial data ingestion phase: 5-6 requests/second to fetch and normalize all 6 collections into our database. After extraction is complete, ongoing API usage will be negligible. We are not building a live per-request API dependency.
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Both would be ideal. An offline dump for the initial bulk extraction of all 6 collections to normalize into our defined JSON schema . And programmatic API access for occasional live lookups . If providing both is not possible, an API key alone would fully cover our needs as a fallback.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Arabic (with tashkeel / diacritics) and English.
What programming language will your API client be in?
