Calligraphy pen with thin and thick pen stroke

Hi,
So, I'm an old user of write since Matt delivered the first version of 3.00.

It happen that I used to write with some calligraphic style using f dedicated saved pens as:

Pen Width 2
Pen Tip Flat
Vary width 90%
no pressure
no speed
Direction 55°

This was working a wonder unless Matt did changes something that absolutey changes the way the pen react while writing.
Also this change introduce some "XOR3 effect in the use of very wide pen when using Flat one.

So, according to the "smooting" or "simplification" parameter using flat pen shouldn't produce such weird patterns when crossing itself, but this is not the point.

My point is : I want to be capable to write in gothic letter again in write !
So I guess the easiest way to code this in the app should be to add the "direction" option to the chisel pen.

(that my memory tell's me that this option was existing a few versions ago)

Can you attach a document showing the problem? Do you have some older documents showing the previous behavior (or let me know what previous app version had the desired behavior)?
