Android : can't browse"External" sdcard

Hi,

I wish I can set my working directory in a dedicated write's documents subdirectory of a synced nextcloud one.
The nexcloud directory, due to large amount of data is on an external 1Tb Sdcard.
Unfortunately while in write, I cannot browse the directory to "open from" nor "save here".

the only higher directory I can get to is shown as "sdcard" into write an correspond to the internal memory.

(whatever I'm locating the write app to use internal or external memory aka sdcard)

I'm using a Samsung Tab S10 FE under Android 16.0

So the issue is that Write android seems can't browse upper directory then cannot work on external sdcard.

What is the path for the external sdcard? Can you try modifying currFolder in Write's config.xml to point to the folder in your nextcloud directory?

path is someting like a subfolder of : /storage/75D7-DC5F/android/media/com.nextcloud.client/nextcloud
where 75D7-DC5F is the root of external sd.

and so, yes, editing this path in config.xml gives write the access to it great advice tho. also it gives access to only browse the sdcard now.

write should be able to browse either /storage/emulated/0 and /storage/[whatever external device] mount.

now said, seems that the "group/owner" chmod of application aboslutely fuck up my "cloud ecosystem" as modifying the file with write won't sync with nextcloud because of group/owner policy differ from write.apk than nextcloud.apk

Therefore, if an application like Write doesn't plan to use or modify files shared from cloud apps (Nextcloud, Dropbox) or opened locally (RS File, Solid Explorer, Total Commander) into Android,using APIs then it's no longer possible to synchronize all the workflows managed with Write (which works perfectly across multiple Windows PCs).
