Co-Worker Recommendations

Writing recommendations is nice. Here's some strategies. I guess you could also ask ChatGPT for some help, but remeber we are still in the relatively early days of AI/ML.

Strategy One

  1. Nature of relationship
  2. Details of the next position
  3. How they grew
  4. How they helped the company
  5. What does that reveal about him
  6. Personal note

Strategy Two

5-minute-guide-to-writing-an-amazing-linkedin-recommendation

  1. Knockout line
  2. Describe relationship - when, where, how long
  3. Standout trait
  4. Touch of personality
  5. End with enthusiasm

Example

“[Descriptive phrase] is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about [Name]. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing [Name] for [length of time], during which [description of your working relationship]. Above all, I was impressed with [Name]’s ability to [description of what makes the person really stand out]. And, of course, their [personality trait]. [Name] would be a true asset for any positions requiring [1-2 skills they excel at] and comes with my heartfelt recommendation.”
