Reference Length Calculation Misalignment #26
Description
The vehicle reference length in assembly.py is currently computed as the maximum extent across all coordinate axes. This can lead to incorrect values when the vehicle’s largest axis is not aligned with the flight direction, as seen in the ATV case. This affects the calculation of flow parameters such as the Knudsen number and may lead to incorrect flow regime classification.
A review is recommended to ensure the reference length is computed explicitly along the x-direction (flight axis), to maintain consistency across different configurations.
