It would be cool to be able to browse what clubs exist, see when the clubs meet, get notified about cancellations, etc on shs space. Currently, CS club has their own website (not sure what the link is), but it could be cool to work with them in integrating this with space.

To have this be actually used (I don't think that the CS club website is used very much, if at all), we would need to make sure it's also easy for club leaders/sponsors to edit the club dates if there's a cancellation or something.

Also, it might be cool after school hours to have the currently running clubs displayed on the TVs!

this would be cool, and has some considerations. We currently don't have a "backend". We would need to integrate some database and hosting infrastructure to do this I think and that would require added costs. There is going to be management overhead to deal with registering different clubs, management of events, students who have access etc. Ideally we pawn the management of this off to the school, but they likely can't be involved because it's not a school sponsored website. We could also look into possibly integrating with some existing api the school has for club management.

Cloudflare has a very generous free tier for hosting a backend and database, at least in my experience with other stuff.

Jukebox is entirely ran through CF R2, and had a backend that was for ratelimiting (although since all of the usage was coming from Stevenson IPs, the ratelimiting didn't work very well 😅). I'd recommend doing any backend through Cloudflare as we're pretty centralized there.

Although, could be worth seeing if the CS Club would be willing to maintain an API endpoint to use?
