[2026-01-05] Feature: Capture Command Output

  • Addressed user report of commands finishing too early (likely due to quoting issues).
  • Modified run_long_command.ts to capture stdout and stderr from the background process.
  • Updated notification logic to include a truncated summary (first 200 chars) of the output.
  • This aids in debugging when a command exits unexpectedly or behaves differently than the user intended.
  • Verified with reproduction scripts and updated unit tests.

Duration confirmed as 60 seconds. 2026-01-05: Bumped version to 1.0.1 in package.json and gemini-extension.json. Pushed to GitHub.

[2026-01-06] Documentation: Added GEMINI.md

  • Created GEMINI.md file in the root directory.
  • Documented tool usage, internal behavior, and expected response format for agents.
  • Clarified tmux session requirements and output truncation logic.

[2026-01-06] Maintenance: Version bump and manifest update

  • Incremented version to 1.0.2 in package.json and gemini-extension.json.
  • Added 'contextFileName' to gemini-extension.json to ensure GEMINI.md is loaded as context.
