Cant register via email in newer kirby versions

When the user clicks on the email confirmation button it opens the site buy gets the following error:

Kirby \ Exception \ PermissionException (error.user.changePassword.permission)
You are not allowed to change the password for the user

I think the impersonate function from the route is not working in current kirby versions.

I found that if you swap this lines in the the route it works.

$kirby->impersonate('kirby');
if ($user = $kirby->user()) {
          $user->logout();
}

// Working
if ($user = $kirby->user()) {
          $user->logout();
}
$kirby->impersonate('kirby');
