Boxart Scraper Gives Error on macOS

Issue: Boxart scraper gives the error "No supported ROM folders found."

Steps to Reproduce: Insert SD card with fresh install of SpruceOS 4.0 that has been unpacked on the Miyoo Flip and has had ROMs copied to respective folders.

System: macOS Tahoe 26.2 on M4 Mac mini

Additional Notes: Using the refresh button for identifying drives does not help. Nor does restarting the Installer app.

Oddly, the app reports its version as 1.0.0, even though it was downloaded form the 1.3 release page : https://github.com/spruceUI/spruceOS-Installer/releases/tag/V1.3

Ha yeah I never updated the code to reflect version changes I guess. My bad!

As for the scraper…. Can you share a screenshot of your Roms folder?

Sure thing. I just loaded up the default folders. First picture is the ROMs folder, then the GBA folder as an example.

To thicken the plot, I went and tried the linux installer client, and I get the same thing. Starting to look like a personal problem...

Same issue. New card, used the installer to install the OS, put it in my TrimUI Brick...when done, put the card back in macos, copied bios and roms, then launched SpruceOS Installer, get the same exact error as OP.

Exactly the same, Mac OS installer on a Mabook Air M1 for a TrimUI Brick.

I’ll take another look into this, probably a Mac permission issue tbh
