Right now they have a crush strength of 10

I added a separate Motorcycle move class to main game, with no CrushStrength at all. Oddly setting it to 0 explicitly prevents the unit from executing move orders beyond it's line of sight, but not having it set works.

But if you don't set it, it will take the default value of 10, right?

Maybe can you set a very low crushStrengh (let's say 1)?? (I don't know if there are objects with such a low crush resistance)
