About the Developer

I am a Hungarian-Canadian Muslim artist who made his public debut in 2016 in Canadian exhibitions and international digital and hardcopy publications. The philosophy behind my artistically guided mathematical work is articulated in "The Apeirographer’s Manifesto", setting out a vision for faithful yet artistic reifications of abstract mathematical objects, a sort of mathematical fine art photography, as a new genre of art.

I use github to host my free software development efforts aimed at disseminating the fruits of my research, as well as my private codebase used in generating my novel apeirographic and algorithmic art.

About the Software

Beyond my perennial apeirographic and algorithmic research and experimentation, my current software development focus is the Ectocopial Mandelbrot Seed Utilities (EMSU), a suite of utility programs for mining and working with ectocopial Mandelbrot seeds to enable the efficient generation of Buddhabrot and Anthropobrot density graphs, and empower the programming and algorithmic art community to more effectively study the currently underexplored ectocopial Mandelbrot set.

My EMS2Buddhabrot program can generate a 1 gigapixel (32,768x32,768) Buddhabrot image on an i7-4600M CPU @ 2.90GHz from over 1 trillion iterations in less than 12 hours using 1.5 million ultradeep seeds previously mined by EMSMiner.

Under normal circumstances, your donations would be used to support the physical reification of my mathematical art for upcoming exhibitions, and the purchase of hardware and other equipment to enhance my algorithmic experiments and apeirographic explorations of the mathematical realm.

If enough people offered their support, it would empower me to start taking steps towards turning this burning passion of mine into my primary professional occupation.

In these extraordinary times however, as of 2020 June 1st, I have not received a paycheque in more than 2 months, as I was unable to come to a mutually acceptable remote work arrangement with my primary employer that allowed me to meet both my professional and my family responsibilities. Understandably, such a choice being no choice at all, I opted to support my family in the once in a century global health pandemic that is COVID-19, despite the looming financial repercussions.

So at this time, anyone with both the means and the incredible generosity to sponsor my work, will be directly supporting my and my family's efforts to retain my apartment and my financial independence as I struggle to deal with the material repercussions of losing 1/6th of my annual income and having thus far been ineligible for government assistance programs due to an unfortunate collusion of circumstances.
