Hi, I'm Anthony. I'm a software developer focused on building low cost tools. I maintain Forge, an open source imaging platform designed to make gigapixel imaging accessible without relying on expensive equipment.
Forge started as a way to automate high resolution of tree core samples using a repurposed 3D printer and a spare camera. The goal was to create a machine that could produce consistent gigapixel images without the cost associated with commercial imaging systems.
Sponsorships helps me continue to develop Forge in a sustainable way and dedicate more time to improving and expanding the platform. While Forge is currently focused on tree core samples, I plan to extend it to support tree cross-sections and eventually ensure it can handle a wider range of objects as it matures.
The main motivating factor behind Forge is to lower the barrier to entry for gigapixel imaging, so that high resolution imaging tools that would otherwise be out of reach are accessible. If you find Forge useful or believe in accessible, open scientific tools, your support is genuinely appreciated.

SelectThis tier supports longer term work on Forge and allows me to experiment with expanding it's hardware capabilities. As a thank you, sponsors of this level will be listed in the Forge README unless you want to remain anonymous.
