Get/Create tags question

I've been using the sdk for awhile and managed to successful use it to create/update/delete alerts, dashboards and event types. I'm wanting to do the same for tags but the REST api doesn't seem to follow the same pattern as the others and trying to use Entity or Collection for the API gives errors. Do you have any recommendations on how to do this with the SDK?

I'm using SDK 1.0.5 and Splunk 6.2.5
