Thanks for this, I was wondering if you encountered a 'BADZIPFILE' issue when trying to access the file.

The TPKX seems to generate this error when the code tries to 'Open Zip in READ mode'.

I imagine there is some changes in the TPKX structure since this script was generated.

Ok, I got a little further, the TPKX I had needed to be unpacked with 7-zip then I zipped the contents and renamed it from file.zip to file.tpkx.

Then the script ran but not sure what to do with the geopackage now.. I am trying to find out how to get the tiles out.

I'm not sure why you get that error, as far as I know nothing should have changed. It might be good for you to know that to make a tpkx/VTPK work in arcgis it has to be an uncompressed zip file.

To get the tiles out you should modify the code so that it writes the tiles to disk instead of putting them in a SQLite.

Not sure, windows could not see into it if I renamed the .tpkg to .zip.... but if I extracted it through 7-Zip then re-compressed it it was fine.

Appreciate the reply.. I have the geopackage but QGIS cannot see anything except a summary table. I will look into your code suggestions.

I would sort of guess that your data isn't projected in web Mercator, and if that is the case you need to manually add the correct projection to the code.

That is what I am thinking, although I ran the sample file from the repository and it generated the same result.

My TPKG has the following WKID's, so will have to modify script and try again.

It would seem that TPKX support was added to GDAL at some point recently.. I still had to extract contents using 7-Zip and then re-compress into a new .zip file for it to work within QGIS desktop.
